The Shield by Colin Pohl

Life is insane. I am many. I am one. I find the clarity inside the storm. I’ve spent too much time being other people. Maybe I was just being myself.

I don’t know who to bless or who to curse. I guess just do the right thing and bless them all. Sometimes I don’t trust myself. I should. Especially if I take the time to think.

Sometimes it’s all too much. It’s at these times something inside of me is unleashed. It’s what they wanted. The others want what I’ve worked to build with them.

I see a need for all of it. It’s all me and I should know my sides. It’s what you do that matters. Anyone can change. It’s inside of you.

I feel like a weapon. I want to be a shield. The choice is mine like it is everyone else’s. What will you be? You can do good with both. It’s what you do.

I grow more powerful everyday. A little wiser. I found my courage. I know my power. I am whole. I am complete. I found love. I found a people. United.
