Jeff “The Dude” Dowd at SxSw 2009 with The Color Pharmacy

Jeff Dowd is not only the inspiration for The Dude in The Big Lebowski,
he distributed the Coen Brothers first film and produced Fern Gully.

In 2017, he appeared in Jake Dilley and McManus Woodend’s film Rocksteppy.
That never would have happened without this first magical encounter
in the woman’s bathroom behind the stage at The Belmont
during South by Southwest in 2009.
